Metro Chaos: Line 8 and Line 12 Failures in Mexico City

On the morning of Thursday, November 14th, various incidents have been recorded in the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro of Mexico City. Users have expressed their concern about the problematic situations they have experienced on several Metro lines.

One of the reported problems is the malfunction of the payment machines at the Barranca del Muerto station on Line 12. A user shared a photograph evidencing this situation, which has generated long lines of people trying to enter the platforms unsuccessfully. In response to this complaint, the Metro stated that it would address the situation for a prompt solution.

Regarding Line 8, service failures have been reported, with trains remaining stopped at stations, causing inconvenience to users. This problem has persisted for the second consecutive day, generating chaos and delays in passengers' movements. Despite complaints on social media, the Metro has not provided explanations regarding the reasons behind this situation.

On the other hand, Line 3 experienced high traffic on the morning of that same day, resulting in overcrowded trains and difficulties in closing the doors, which has slowed down train circulation. Some trains have also experienced delays in their departure from Indios Verdes, which has contributed to the accumulation of people on the platforms.

Regarding Line 12, users have reported intermittent service, with trains stopped at the Periférico station. This situation has generated discomfort among passengers, who wonder about the reasons behind this problem without receiving clear answers from the metro.
